Terms of service

Last updated: 16 October 2026

These terms cover your use of themodernmusicmethod.com and anything you buy from The Modern Music Method, which is run by Jamie O'Sullivan in Melbourne, Australia (ABN 81 280 667 160). By using the site or buying from us you agree to them.

Questions go to jamie@themodernmusicmethod.com.

1. What we sell

  • Digital products. The Modern Music Method course, The Release Rollout, The Content Bible, The Industry Contact List, The Artist Toolkit and The Artist Starter Pack.
  • Services. Playlist campaigns and The Release Build.
  • Free material. The 6-Week Artist Release Blueprint.

2. Buying and paying

  • Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay.
  • Payment is taken by Stripe through our checkout at learn.themodernmusicmethod.com.
  • Digital products are delivered by email straight after payment, as a download, a link or a course login.
  • Make sure the email address you give us is right. That is where your purchase goes.

3. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our refund policy at themodernmusicmethod.com/refunds/. It sets out the guarantee for each product and how to ask for a refund.

4. What you can do with what you buy

When you buy a digital product you get a licence for your own use as an artist, or for the artists you manage.

You may not:

  • share your login, files or links with people who have not bought them
  • resell, republish or give away the products or any part of them
  • copy the contact list into another product, database or service for sale

We may end access for anyone who does this, without a refund.

5. Services

Playlist campaigns and The Release Build are agreed one at a time. The scope, timing, price and any stream target or other guarantee are confirmed with you in writing before work starts, and those written terms apply to that job.

You are responsible for giving us what we need on time, such as your music, your accounts and your intake form, and for having the rights to the music you ask us to promote.

6. Results

We share what has worked for us and for artists we have worked with. Music careers depend on many things outside our control, so we do not promise streams, followers, income or any other result, except where a guarantee is written on the product page or agreed with you in writing.

7. Our content

Everything on the site and in the products belongs to The Modern Music Method or is used with permission. That includes the text, templates, videos, designs and logos. You may not copy or reuse it beyond the licence in section 4 without written permission.

8. Other people's sites and tools

The products point to tools and platforms run by other companies, such as Spotify, Meta and distributors. We do not control them and are not responsible for their services, their prices or changes they make.

9. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Beyond those rights, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost income or lost opportunity, and our total liability for any product or service is limited to the amount you paid for it.

10. Using the site

Do not misuse the site. That means no attempts to break in, overload it, scrape it or use it to break the law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. The version in place when you bought applies to that purchase.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
